Epstein Humanitarian Fund Donates to Bristol Township Families in Need
The Gene and Marlene Epstein Humanitarian Fund donated $10,000 to Bristol Township School District in order to provide for students and their families in need.
The district’s Gene Epstein Donation Fund Committee, made up of social workers, school counselors and nurses, will distribute the funds. They identify families in need and connect them with local resources and referrals, and carefully assess what amount of money is needed.
“BTSD is extraordinarily grateful for the Epsteins' donation as it continues to help the students in our community who are most in need after suffering loss, whether the result of a medical emergency, fire or personal hardship,” said Business Manager Josh Sweigard.
Thanks to the substantial donation, BTSD can provide for several families experiencing hardships who are in dire need of rent, food, clothing, auto maintenance, and much more. The goal is to allow the students to focus on their education with the basic necessities taken care of.
“I find it incumbent upon any person that has the ability to help someone else to do so,” said Gene Epstein, Bucks County philanthropist. “I feel I have been blessed that I've been able to help out.”
