Our curriculum follows the National Core Art Standards, which is based on Creating, Performing, Responding, and Connecting.  All lessons are structures around the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design.  Every student is required to participate in class activities and assignments.  

Class materials:

* Pencils and erasers
* Prisma Colored Pencils- (recommended not required) 
* A black sharpie- (recommended not required)

Canvas Class assignments, google slide presentations, videos, due dates, and important information about the class will be posted in Canvas daily.

Homework:

1. The assignments that are not completed in class will be considered homework. 

Class work:

1. Mini class projects
2. Prep work for large projects.
3. Large projects.
4. Project reflections.

Class participation and cooperation is expected.

Grading:

* All projects are point based.

* Drawing skills are graded. 

* Each assignment will have a Rubric. 

* Prep work for projects and project reflections are worth 10 points each.

* Mini Projects are worth 25 points each.

* Large projects are worth 100 points each.

* Class participation and cooperation is worth 200 points for the marking period.
